WALKING IN FINANCIAL FORTUNE

The word “fortune” connotes a large amount of wealth and prosperity. Financial fortune is the will of God for His children. Just as the natural man do not wish his children to be in lack and want, so is the same and much more with God. 3Jn.2, Ps.35:27. God takes pleasure in your prosperity; He is pleased when you prosper. 2Cor.8:9. In the Garden of Eden, God made everything available to man; he didn’t lack anything until sin came. Even at that, God still sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to redeem man back to his original state of financial fortune, and beyond. God wants you to be financially blessed so that you can be a blessing; to yourself, family, His kingdom and humanity in general. Gen.12:1-3. Invariably, if you are not blessed, many people will suffer.

To walk in financial freedom, you need to walk in the covenant of financial fortune, which anchors on “giving.” Giving is the law that empowers wealth. If you don’t give, then don’t expect to receive. When you give, you are sowing your seed. If you must experience financial fortune then you must be a giver! Gen.8:22, Gal.6:7. What a man sows is what determines what he reaps or receives. Jn.12:24. When you are so tight-fisted to the extent that you can’t give God, then, you are limiting God in your life, especially in your finances. Luk.6:38.

When you give to someone or in church, you are not helping the man of God, but you are helping yourself. Ps.24:1. Remember that whatever God gives you belongs to Him and He can make demand of such anytime. Heb.11:17-19. You will have to pass God’s test before He promotes you. Ps.50:10-12. Whatever God cannot touch in your life may be what the devil will use to destroy you! Acts20:35. It is more blessed to give than to receive. Each time you give out, you are a blessing.

GIVINGS TO OBSERVE FOR FINANCIAL FORTUNE

1.Tithing: This is one tenth or ten percent of your gross income, salary, profit or blessing. This can be paid as you choose; on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Your tithe cannot be less than ten percent but can be more. Mal.3:8-12. Tithing is commandment which commands blessings and not curses. It causes God to open the window of heaven and drives away devourer. 1Pet.5:8. Tithing appears both in the old and new testament. Lev.27:30-31, Mal.3:8-12, Matt.23:23, Heb.7:1-8. You must pay your tithe promptly where you worship and don’t divide it.

2.Worship Offering: this is what you give to God when you come to church. Mark 12:41-44, Deut.16:16.

3.Sacrificial Giving: This is what you give to provoke God’s attention concerning an issue or matter. Ps.50:5-6, Ps.126:1-6.

4.Giving to the Poor.( Prov.19:17)

5.Projects Offering: This is giving to promote the work of the kingdom. Hagg.1:3-14.

6.Giving to Parents. (Gen.27:1-5).

7.Giving to Prophets or Pastors. (Matt.10:41)

HOW GOD BLESSES

1.Through Divine ideas. Mal3:10.

2.Through the work of your hands. Ps.1:3.

3.Through the release of Divine favour. Ps.102:13-14.

UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF PRAYER AND FASTING. (Part 2)

It is truly the understanding of the blessedness of prayer and fasting that will make you an ever loving student of the virtue of prayer and fasting. If the understanding is not in place, you will continue playing. But, when understanding comes, then your position changes automatically. 1 These 5:17.

“Pray without ceasing” is a command from the scripture. So, if you belong to the kingdom you must be a lover of prayer. If you are in the kingdom and you despair positive changes or improvement, then you must love fasting. Matt 17: 21. When we have the understanding of this scripture, things begin to take a new turn. God will always intervene in this world to answer prayers. There is no heartfelt prayer that is said to God that He will turn down. God will never look away from your prayer. He is ready to answer and even do it beyond your expectations. So, a people that loves to pray will be a reliable force to the Lord while a people who are prayer-less will be hindrance to the course of the kingdom. There is no case beyond divine restoration. Jonah and Job in the scripture were totally restored.

PROFITABLE APPROACH TO FASTING

(1). Engage in kingdom promotion prayer. Matt 6: 6 .Praying for the

     church, ministers of God, expansion of the church of God.

     Matt 6:33

(2). We must come thanking, praising, worshipping and hallowing His

name. Matt 6:9, Ps 100:4. You can never be thankful until your heart is thankful.

(3). We must come boldly and not beggarly. Acts 14:3, Heb 4:16. It is

     through boldness that you get what belongs to you. Prov 28:1

(4). Engage the force of faith. Its faith filled prayer and fasting

     that produces power. Matt 21:21-22.

When we fast, we are blessed. Fasting facilitate empowerment for dominion. Isa. 58:6, Lk 4:14-37. You are created for dominion.

UNDERSTANDING THE BLESSEDNESS OF PRAYER AND FASTING

 “And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift”.

Exceeding grace can be defined as “unspeakable gift or unexplainable gift.”  Exceeding favour implies unspeakable favour. Favour connotes things you have not laboured for or what has been delivered to you freely or cheaply. In 2014, expect gifts on a daily basis!

It is one thing to know what the year holds in store for you, and another thing to lay hold of it. Note that whatever God has proclaimed for His children, the devil will contest. There is therefore the need to engage in a spiritual warfare with the devil. 1Tim:1:18. That God has said it does not mean there won’t be confrontations. For any prophecy to come to pass there is need to fight, and this come through the weapon of prayer and fasting. You need to understand the efficacy of prayer and fasting. Matt.17:21. There are some situation that will never change, some things that will never happen without prayer and fasting. You need to train yourself to fast and pray because there are some people who cannot do without eating or chewing something in their mouths. This is dangerous as a believer! Philippians 3:19.

PROFITABLE APPROACH TO FASTING

1.Define your goals and objectives: What is your reason or purpose of the fast? What are you going to get as a result of the fast? Whatever fast you embark upon is a waste. If you cannot define it, then it is a waste. Prov.29:18, Ezra 8:21-23, 2Chron.20:3, 24.

2.Prepare to engage your heart in seeking the Lord. Your heart must be prepared to seek the Lord. If your heart is in the fast, you will study the word and be in church to break your fast with communion. Prov.16:1, Jer.30:21. “If it is in your heart, it will be in your hands.”

3.Engage a demonstration of love in your heart. A sure way in demonstrating love is giving. If you truly love, you will give. Even, God demonstrated this. John 3:16. Make “giving” a part of your fast. Isa.58:6-7, 10. God wants you to reach out to the less privileged, especially this season. Ensure that you bless someone. In addition to giving, forgive you offenders. This is the time to forgive those that have offended you. Make up your mind to forgive and forget.

4.We must come confessing and forsaking our sins. Isa.59:1-2, Ps.66:18, 1John 1:9-10.

Annual Thanksgiving 2013 (luke 17:11 – 19)

Thank you Lord

Where are the Nine Could mean.      

1.   Where are other members of your family? |Your wife/Husband, Children, Siblings, Parents etc|

2.   Where are other People in your Organization /Institution/ School etc

If they are not there, make sure you do a wholesome and representative thanksgiving. The kind that will make your Family, organization/Institution,/Business be registered in Heaven as returned to give thanks. So that you and all that concerns you will be overwhelmed by heaven perfection and wholeness.

3.   Where are the Nine? Could mean you – your totality. Are you fully here to give me thanks; Spirit, Soul and Body? God is asking.

In Genesis 3:9 the Lord Asked Adam, Where art thou? Not because He couldn’t see or locate Adam; But to bring Adam to the recognition and realization of His fallen State. Where art thou? You are not where I placed you.

So, God is asking you; hope you are not here to mark register, to satisfy your Husband/Wife; to satisfy your Parents or your friends.

-         Are you here with the Totality of your being?

-         Are you here to thank me indeed despite the disappointment?

-         Have you dropped the worries, anxieties, distresses etc for me to carry or you are still carrying them while thanking me?

-         Are you here to thank me indeed? Or you came along with that offence, bitterness, hatred and unforgiveness?

-         Have you come to thank me as worship to glorify me or just as the yearly routine? Luke 17:16

-         Is this thanksgiving coming from your heart or from your head? Mal. 2:2

-         How much we value Him is seen in how much we give Him thanks. Ps. 106:13; Rom 1:21

Remember Noah in Genesis 8:20-22

The altar of sacrifice Noah reared unto the Lord was a thanksgiving offering – sacrifice of thanksgiving when it dawned on him that God has dealt wondrously to him and his family at the curse on the ground was averted.

2.   Forgiving me my sins

3.   For supernatural Supplies.

4.   (Job, Marriage, Visa, Travelled, Another Anniversary, New Home, New Vehicle, Changed to Better Job, Healing and deliverance) etc
